Playground ambassadors appointed
Posted: 22nd January 2020Playtime is being kept under complete control, thanks to the appointment of playground ambassadors.
Freshwaters Primary Academy has appointed Year 6 pupils as playground ambassadors.
The team are responsible for organising games, helping younger children to line up, making sure pupils are playing fair and helping in the dining hall.
Headteacher Jackie Diggle said: “The ambassador role gives pupils a voice within the school. I already have playground ambassadors coming to me with ideas of what they want to do; they are taking ownership of it.
“They are loving it. It is working really well with the playground ambassadors, so we will take the initiative on from there.”
Year 5 at the school will soon be appointed as anti-bullying ambassadors and Year 4 will become reading ambassadors.
