School Meals & Healthy snacks

SCHOOL DINNERS

We serve a fantastic range of hot meals to children every lunchtime. We are very proud of our 5 star food hygiene rating and our wonderful Kitchen Team. There are at least three choices of meals served every day along with dessert and a drink.

 

HOW TO BOOK A SCHOOL DINNER

All School meals must be pre-booked via ParentPay.

Booking must be made a week in advance, booking must be made before 12pm on Tuesday evening for the following week.

 

HOW ARE SCHOOL MEALS CHARGED?

The Universal Free School Meals funding means that school meals for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are free of charge.

School meals cost £2.30 for children in Year 3 to Year 6.

To ensure  your child is entitled to Pupil Premium Free School Meals (regardless of year group) please set up your claim online at  https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-bmat (if you need help making a claim, please visit the school office and we will be happy to help you). 

 

Free School Meals

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit

Children who get any of the above benefits in their own right (ie they get benefits payments directly, instead of through a parent or guardian) can also get free school meals.

Milk

Milk is offered during the morning session to all pupils under five years old free of charge.  
 

Water Bottles

We ask that you send your child/children to school with a water bottle every day. These bottles must only contain water.

Juice or flavored water is not allowed 

 

Break time Snacks                                                                                                             

All children in KS1 will receive a healthy snack at break time. If you would like to send your child/children in KS2 with a snack it must be either a healthy piece of Fruit or Veg.
