A breakfast club is being launched at a Harlow primary school.

From September, Freshwaters Primary Academy, in School Lane, will offer the club for all of its pupils.

Janet Lankester, learning mentor, said: “The idea of the club is to meet a need we know a number of families have and to support those who may find morning routines with their child a challenge.

“We want to provide a welcoming, safe and secure environment for pupils before the beginning of the school day, to provide children with a nutritious breakfast at the start of the day in a pleasant, calm and relaxed environment and to improve punctuality of pupils across the school.”
