Children send letters home
Posted: 29th January 2015Parents will be surprised to receive letters in the post from their young children.
Year 1 pupils at Freshwaters Primary Academy, in School Lane, Harlow, have carefully crafted handwritten letters to their families.
The youngsters also took a trip to the post office to buy their own stamps and post their letters.
Teacher Allison Hazel said: “Not only will it be a lovely surprise for parents to receive a letter in the post from their children, but it also shows our pupils how the postal system works.
“We are hoping by doing this it will get our children excited about writing more and give them a purpose to put pen to paper using their best handwriting.”
