New year pantomime
Posted: 30th January 2019Christmas may be a distant memory, but the spirit of the season continued with a new year pantomime performance.
Children at Freshwaters Primary Academy started the new year with a visit from Hurricane Productions.
A performance of Peter Pan brought the school hall to life, with opportunities for pupils to get involved.
Amy Dias, lead practitioner, said: “The children absolutely loved it! They were joining in, shouting ‘he’s behind you’ and singing along to the songs they knew. It was really good.
“It was a bit of enjoyment for the children and something a bit different. It gave them an experience of pantomime with the theatre coming to them. Some may not have the opportunity to see a theatre production otherwise.”
