First Reception School Journey
Posted: 23rd May 2018Reception pupils enjoyed their very first school journey.
The 60 youngest children at Freshwaters Primary Academy visited Pets Corner.
During the trip, they tried pond-dipping where they saw fish and fish eggs, dragonflies and shrimps.
Assistant headteacher Toni Hollows said: “The children also learnt about the animals and what food they can eat, they saw newborn reindeers and stroked rabbits.
“The children have done drawings of what they saw and we have spoken about their favourite animals and how to take care of them.
“This was their first school trip, so they were very excited.”
