Art and D&T Teacher and Art and D&T Lead

I am Curriculum Subject Lead, and teach Art & Design and Design & Technology at both Freshwaters and Little Parndon Primary’s.  Every day is different, challenging, but very exciting and so rewarding.  I feel honoured and privileged to be in this amazing position.

 

I believe passionately that A&D and D.T. are such an important part of a child’s education, boosting overall academic achievement, enhancing well being and self esteem. Our children are the future artists, designers and inventors.  What makes humans unique and apart from other animals and A.I. is the ability to to creative and be innovative.

 

Art’s origins date back more than 40,000 years, expanding and developing to include many different genres.  Imagine how appalling it would be to be part of a generation responsible for the Dark Age of Art?

 

Out of school, I love to spend as much time as is possible with my granddaughter, enjoy a bit of a boogie and relaxing with a good book, my cat on my lap and a big box of chocolates!
